The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote the short story of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 1922.  The story begins in 1860 when Benjamin Button is born, this is just before the beginning of the American Civil War.  When his father comes to visit the newly born child he is shocked, the baby  has the body of an 80 year old man and the ability to speak.  Benjamin’s father forces him to shave his beard and dye his hair in order to appear younger.  And so the  adventure of Benjamin Button begins, every year he grows younger rather than older.

The screen play was written by Eric Roth, the same man responsible for writing Forest Gump, and directed by David Fincher, who has worked with Bradd Pitt in the past on Fight Club and Seven.  With  5 Golden Globe Nominations already under its belt and  Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in the lead roles  The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, is sure to be a hit.  In theaters Christmas Day.

A Quick Review: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is as good, if not better, than it looks.  The unique story is humorous, intriguing and beautifully acted.  Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett both look incredibly hot while giving stellar performances, making this love story one for the books.  I highly recommend seeing this flick, perhaps more than once.

  1. it was a little weird to see an old version of Brad Pitt’s face pasted onto a kid’s body, but i guess that’s why they call it a “curious case”
